After the sorting, little time was wasted before the TriWizard Tournament began.  Here, we are seeing scenes from the first challenge, where students tested their wizarding skills and defeated a dragon.  A small, petrified dragon - the Ministry of Magic wouldn't allow us any big unpetrified ones anywhere near Muggles.  It took place in Professor Snape's Potions Classroom - luckily, nothing was broken, and Prof. Filtch was able to talk Prof. Ondananhk out of painting the room red and gold as a surprise.

Muggle parents helped their wizarding children solve the riddle of where the dragon eggs were hidden in the great hall.  They also assisted in creating house shields, which goes to show that although they might not be able to cast spells, Muggles can still color within the lines.

Here we can see one of our first years has discovered a dragon egg!  Students were reminded to place the eggs back exactly where they found them once the task was complete, because we all know how upset the mother dragons would be to find out that their eggs had been moved. (Sadly, at the end of the day, we found we were missing two eggs, so there are going to be two very surprised muggle families with baby dragons flying around very soon!)

Two young dragon slayers in the Gryffindor Common Room.  Fifty points to Gryffindor for excellent dragon slaying!

No day would be complete without cake!  Before competeing against each other in the TriWizard Maze, the students sang 'For He's a Jolly Good Wizard' to Harry, even though he was unable to make the party.  (He was at the Quidditch Cup Tournament.  Unfortunately, the Dunharrow Dragons did not make the finals once again, but their seeker, Master Erestor, was asked to attend, so he was unfortunately unable to make our gathering.)

The cake is being shown by Prof. Greenwich, while Prof. Ondananhk, History of Magic teacher from Gryffindor House, looks on.  In the background, we can see Headmistress Buttercup and Prof. Filtch tallying the points from the TriWizard Trivia Contest, and discussing the problems they are having in the school with prefects leaving socks and underwear out for the house elves.  In the course of the day, they went from fifty to three working in the school.
