Between the Lord’s Minstrel and Thranduil’s Fluffy Fics, I have neglected my favorite muses and they finally put their footsies down. This is in their honor.

This story is dedicated to Aglarien for letting me use her name as a furry character in my story. I will write more E/G stories with little Agie in them because it is just too cute to resist.

I am sitting here looking at my refection in the mirror. The face has changed very little but the elf behind the face is a completely different creature and that change began a little over a century ago.

I had always lived a simple existence. All I needed was my books, my duties; the very few I considered friends and my garden. I lived to serve my king, Ereinion and loved working as an advisor to him and my best friend Elrond. When Elrond decided to search for a place to make a safe haven for all creatures, I enthusiastically went with him.

Forming Imladris was a labor of love for both of us and we delighted in every success to build our new home. After Imladris was formed and growing steadily, we had many join us here. My assistant, Melpomaen, has always been invaluable to me and a good friend. Our minstrel, Lindir kept us all smiling and has become a good scribe when needed. The guard grew quickly, ready to defend Imladris at all times.

Elrond and I fought together in the Last Alliance and mourned together at the loss of our beloved Ereinion. Elrond was hit especially hard as he and Gil were lovers at one time and continued to share a close relationship. I had made a conscious decision a long time ago to live a life of chastity I want to wait for my one true love for I knew I would only love once in my life. Sentimental, I know, but I was at peace with my choice even if my body fought it every step of the way.

We continued to run Imladris and attempted to keep up with the growth. Many were displaced after the war and new residents arrived every day. I helped keep an eye on things by remaining obscure, always seeing without being seen and always hearing without being heard. Many found me an enigma but I cared not. It only helped me in my duties.

Then on a bright, warm early summer afternoon, he rode into my life and it was never the same. It was the most wonderful day of my life. Glorfindel o' Gondolin, the great balrog slayer, and reborn warrior arrived in Imladris. Atop Asfaloth, he shined brighter than the sun. He held his head high, face emotionless, but his eyes, his eyes overflowed with emotion. I saw pain, fear, pride, and guilt. I longed to reach out to him but dared not.

Elrond and I greeted him with smiles and warm welcomes. The first time we touched, in a warriors greeting, I thought I might faint. I had to force myself to remain calm. I quickly arranged for rooms for him next to mine. I am no fool. I helped him adjust to his new life and he was friendly and grateful. We spent most evenings with Elrond or just the two of us.

Glorfindel often had nightmares of his death and I would go to him when he would cry out. I began to reread the accounts of the fall of Gondolin and his death, hoping for some idea of how to help him. We never spoke of these times in the presence of others although Glorfindel did confide in Elrond. After several months, the nightmares subsided and Glorfindel felt ready to take command of the guards. This was a wonderful development but it also meant Glorfindel would be going on patrols and that meant time away from me.

He began training in earnest to prepare his body and mind for leading the warriors. I would watch him in the afternoons. His endurance amazed me. He trained for hours and never seemed to tire, even after being reborn so recently. I had heard others make comments, sometimes trying to be discreet, sometimes blatant, talking about Glorfindel. They would talk of his fame, his death, his beauty and their desire for him. All of their comments were meant as compliments but were received as insults. Glorfindel did not want to be known for any of these things; he just wanted to be one of them He just wanted to be Glorfindel o' Imladris.

One afternoon, I had been extremely busy and had not had time to visit the training grounds. I did not realize the time, so I quickly straightened my office and hurried to my room to prepare for the evening meal. I did not want to miss the meal and possibly miss seeing Glorfindel. As I left my office, not watching where I was going, I ran into a wall, a wall of golden hair and firm muscles. I was caught in the strongest arms I had ever felt
I attempted to wiggle from his embrace but was held tight. I looked up into the bluest eyes that belonged to the most beautiful face, of the most wonderful elf ever created.

Glorfindel's cheeks were red from exertion of his training and mine were flush from embarrassment. The force of our impact had sent Glorfindel's hair flying forward and it fell over my shoulders. I longed to run my fingers through the beautiful blonde hair. We made our apologies and quickly made for our rooms.

Several months later, Glorfindel returned from his first extended patrol. I had missed him terribly and longed to see him again. I had realized while he was gone that I had hopelessly fallen in love with him and I was unsure if he could ever return my feelings. I had masked the pain of my loneliness for so long; I was not sure how I would ever tell him how I felt. I longed for him to hear my decree of love.

When Glorfindel came to my room to say hello after returning from patrol, he was not alone. When I opened the door, Glorfindel smiled and his hair meowed. There perched on his shoulder, two blue eyes stared at me surrounded by snow-white fur. I put my hands over my mouth and actually giggled. Glorfindel handed the little white fur ball to me, told me that when he found the little thing it had been raining, and it was covered in mud. He could not leave it in the wilds where it would surely parish and he instantly thought of me.

I motioned for him to come in and we sat and watched the kitten move from my lap to his and back again. We played with her and laughed as she swatted at a ribbon I had, meowing loudly when we jerked it away too quickly. She finally settled in my lap and fell asleep. I thanked him for bringing me this precious little thing.

A servant brought a dinner tray to my room and Glorfindel explained he wanted to have a private dinner with me if I would allow it. Of course, I would allow it. I took a basket and blanket to make a bed for my new little one. Over dinner, we talked about a name. I called her a glorious gift and so we both decided on Aglarien.

We sat on the sofa in my sitting room after dinner. Glorfindel was acting a little strange and I questioned him. He moved loser and took my hands. I will never forget that conversation.

"Erestor, I love you."

"You love me?"

"I love you."

"Glorfindel, I love you."

"You do? I was not sure if you felt the same way. Erestor, I will love you forever, you will never have to fear my love. I will never be unfaithful to you, for that would be betraying my own heart."

"I will always be true to you, my Glorfindel."

That was the first night of the rest of eternity for us. It was amazing how easily we came together, admitting our love. That night I left my life of chastity behind. I still blush when I think of our first time. I was a virgin and in his first life, Glorfindel had only had one lover and none since his return.

We stood by my bed, after that night it was our bed. Glorfindel slowly removed my robes and his eyes roamed up and down my body. I lay down on the bed and watched as he removed his own clothes. Oh, how I wanted to touch every inch of him kissed all of him, taste all of him. He stood at the foot of the bed and then slowly began to crawl from the foot of the bed until his body covered mine. I expected my first time to be awkward and anxious but with him, it was slow, gentle, and beautiful. There were no nerves, only trust.

We kissed deeply and he covered my body with nips. I had never felt anything like it when he took me in his mouth. As hard as I tried, I could not stop my hips from moving and then he urged me on. I could feel something building in my body; I soared higher and higher until I burst forth through an unseen, untouchable summit only to come crashing back down into the arms of the one who had sent me on the journey.

Glorfindel was careful to prepare me well and my heart sped as his strong legs spread mine further apart. As he joined with me, I could feel myself riding the crest again only this time it would not be alone. Never again would I ride this crest alone, my heart soared, and tears fell at the thought of never feeling alone again.

The next morning, our new little one had managed to use the blankets, hanging on the bed, to climb up and make herself comfortable on my pillow. I awoke to purring from Aglarien in my right ear and purring from Glorfindel in my left. They were both glorious gifts. My life has never been the same

So here, I sit waiting for the love of my life to finish getting ready for the celebration being thrown in our honor. When Glorfindel emerges from the bathing chamber, he kisses my brow and moves to the wardrobe to dress. I watch him and I know, after having his love, without it I would surely fade. For with him, my heart has found its home and my spirit has found its mate.
