Get to know the author...

Name: Sonja (alias Idhrenwen)

Previous Middle Earth writings: None.

Other previous writings: A Star Wars Story (in German language) for my Star Wars Alter Ego (kinda chronicles for the character's family) but not yet finished. Other Star Wars short stories but they're all unfinished.

Future projects: I'm planning to translate "All's fair in Love and War" into German for my not-english-speaking friends. But I have other projects to finish before that, which have nothing to do with writing stories.

Favorite Middle Earth characters: Elves, elves... more elves... and Haldir comes first before all others - as always - and after that... the twins (Elladan and Elrohir) and Legolas and... oh my, don't make me choose - I love them all!

Motivation for doing this project: Someone promised me fun with the twins. ;-)

True feelings about Valentine's day: It's just a boring day for all who never get flowers or nice words on that day. *sighs*

You're stranded on a desert island and can only take one thing and  three elves with you. What is it, who are they, and why?: Thing? I'd choose my favourite restaurant, then. Hey, don't complaint - you didn't say anything about the size of the "thing"... *heehee* But as for the elves... uhm... only three? Okay, than I'll choose 1.) Haldir and his brothers, 2.) the twins and 3.) Erestor. What? More than three? Uhm, well, I can't count when it comes to count elves... *heehee* I'd choose Erestor because he said he likes to cook - and the restaurant need a chef, right? *g* And the others I would send to hunt for the food - either the Lothlórien brothers or the twins - while I have a little fun <heehee with those who stay with me.

Favorite descriptive word to use when talking about elves: "Mhmmm...." (is that descriptive enough?)

Favorite famous elf quote: "Here is the heart of Elvendom on earth, and here my heart dwells ever, unless there be a light beyond the dark roads that we still must tread, you and I" (Haldir)

Favorite famous 19th century philosopher quote: I like Nietzsche but I can't quote anything from him off by heart.

If you were making a pie to share with the elves, what kind would it  be?: Sweet and crispy.

Favorite Beatles song: I don't like the Beatles so I have no favorite Beatles song.

Anything else we should know?: I'm not sure. What else would you like to know? Maybe that I'm actually a Star Wars Fan - and I always thought I'm more a SW Fan than a LOTR Fan... but to be honest... I'm not so sure about that anymore. *sighs* I just have more SW costumes (5 finished and two unfinished costumes) than LOTR costumes (1 finished costume), but that's all. Oh no, I have a SW based website (www.yogi-tea.de) for my SW AlterEgo (needs an update and maybe a translated, english version for the site, too) which I don't have for my LOTR AlterEgo - but that might change one day. I'm already thinking about an Idhrenwen-Site. *sighs* But it's so much work.... At the moment I'm working on a Wookie-Costume. Should be finished before Easter because JediCon is on Easter and I'd like to wear this costume there. We'll see....

Get to know the character...

Character Name: Idhrenwen (born as Merenwen Tur-anion)

Physical description: Homeland: Born in Rivendell, raised in Lothlórien where she still dwells.

Occupation or purpose in Middle Earth: She is one of Galadriel's dressmakers - nothing big - a very simple life, really.

Secret way the character wishes they could have sought their revenge against Elrond: Idhrenwen does not seek for revenge against Lord Elrond. In fact, she admires him - as all other "old" elves - she'd rather have rescued him when she had became aware of what was going in the Last Homely House....

Anything else we should know?: Haven't yet thought about her background much. What else would you like to know about her?
