Name: Zhie, aka, Dr. Zhie
Previous Middle Earth writings: I started with "Friendly Wagers" and now have an entire universe spawned from "Lorien Origin" that includes the purple plot bunnies. This was the fiftieth Tolkien-based story I had anything to do with.
Other previous writings: Lots of fan fiction, mostly in the ThunderCats fandom. Also quite a bit of Star Trek fan fiction and spoof writing. Published poet and award winning playwright. But I always come back to fanfiction, there's something so free and fun about it.
Future projects: Obviously, another group...something. Have a number of things in the works to be finished, and really want to get written the story of what went on in Imladris after the majority of the Elves left.
Favorite Middle Earth characters: Gollum was my first favorite from reading The Hobbit, and then I liked the Lorien brothers once getting to The Fellowship of the Ring, and really, all of the Lothlorien Elves interested me an awful lot, but Haldir especially, because of all the dialogue he has. In the book, obviously. From the animated version of The Hobbit, I loved Thranduil and Bard and Bombur. Back to the nine walkers, and now, adding Samwise to the list. Toss three more elves into the group - Erestor, Glorfindel, and Celeborn - and there's my fellowship, lol. (Have to add Asfaloth, I would suppose, need to have a horse along for the ride.) And balrogs - balrogs intrigue me to no end.
Motivation for doing this project: I love a challenge. Plus, getting to know the rest of the group was fabulous and great fun.
True feelings about Valentine's day: I likes it a lot for personal reasons. Heh heh. But not because of the holiday, just happens to fall on February 14 every year.
You're stranded on a desert island and can only take one thing and three elves with you. What is it, who are they, and why?: I'm going to the West, and with me, I'm taking...hee hee. I'm taking a boat, Celeborn, Erestor, and Galadriel. Oh, you may gasp at that, but I'm too nice not to let Celeborn have his sweetie with him...and I'll have my hands full with just one elf.
Favorite descriptive word to use when talking about elves: glow [Runner up : shimmery or shimmer]
Favorite famous elf quote: Ai! Ai! A Balrog! A Balrog has come!
Favorite famous 19th century philosopher quote: You know, I put this question on here just to see how many of the rest would answer it. *Snickers* I am so getting beat with a trout of any of them actually come over here and read my responses, heh heh.
If you were making a pie to share with the elves, what kind would it be?: Yummy.
Favorite Beatles song: Either 'Eleanor Rigby' or 'Hello, Goodbye'

Character Name: Zhie
Physical description: Very dark hair and dark eyes. Average height for an elleth, nothing particularly special about her. Just an average Sindarin Elf. She doesn't wear fluffy girly (ellethy?) stuff much, because of her job, and she's so comfortable in travel clothes at this point in her life that she just wears them most of the time.
Homeland: She's basically from Rivendell, was born in Lindon, but travels between the realms as part of her occupation. Lothlorien and Imladris are her favored places to be, though she does happen to have a current interest in traveling to Rohan. While most of the elves have plans to leave for the undying lands of the west, Zhie is not yet sure of this path and plans to linger yet a while longer.
Occupation or purpose in Middle Earth: The traveling messenger librarian, she takes all the very important stuff between the realms. Regular messengers travel more frequently, but anything that needs to be specially protected - re: books - go with her.
Secret way the character wishes they could have sought their revenge against Elrond: Didn't have a secret way to seek revenge, he's one of her employers. It's bad business to parade the boss around his realm in a green dress. Just happened to be going along with everyone else.
